As registered auditors Leesing Marrison Lee & Co. are able to report on the accounts of limited companies as required by the Companies Acts.
In addition, various regulatory bodies such as The Law Society, Pension Regulator, Friendly Society, ABTA and others require reports from Registered Auditors and Leesing Marrison Lee & Co. are able to carry out these reports.
Limited Companies with a turnover in excess of £6.5M and charities with a turnover in excess of £500k are required by law to have their accounts audited by a reqistered Auditor. Over the last decade these thresholds have risen dramatically and many charities and companies are no longer require to have audited accounts. Whilst not having accounts audited may effect a reduction in costs, consideration should be given to the consequences of unaudited accounts on bankers and other suppliers of credit, major suppliers and customers. An audit can also provide the owners and management of the company with vital information about the strength of their organisations structure and processes which ordinarilly would not be available.
